
Carow Park
Carow Park is the Mercer Town park located on Grand Portage Lake 2 miles East on County J in Mercer.
Many community events take place at Carow Park including Lupine Junefest, the 4th of July Celebration, and the Lions Ice Fishing Jamboree.
The park pavilion is available for public us by making reservations at 715-476-2403 for your party or event.
Playground Park
Parks provide an ideal space for playgrounds to become community centerpieces and sought-after retreats for families to enjoy.
The five most common pieces of equipment found in parks are slides, climbers, swings, crawl tubes and bridges. Ramps, steps and decks are also popular choices. You’ll also find a lot of standalone items like spring riders, playground spinners, playground rocks, and interactive play panels.

Bike Trailhead
2024 Update - Mercer Bike Trailhead is being moved to Carow Park
The Mercer Bike and Hike Trail is the northern-most portion of the 52-mile Heart of Vilas County Bike Trail system that winds through lakes, rivers and forests to connect Mercer with Manitowish Waters, Boulder Junction, Sayner, and St. Germain. Our 7.8 mile trail is a mix of paved trails and rustic roads with beautiful bridges crossing rivers and wetlands.

Tennis & Pickleball Courts
The two tennis courts serve a dual purpose for Pickleball and Tennis at this time. Adjustments to the net height make pickleball possible. These courts get a lot of use in the summer. Courts are on a first come basis with one exception, see below.
Tennis vs Pickleball Court Days/Times
Pickleball players have priority for use of both courts on the following days and times:
Monday, Wednesday, Sunday: 8am - Noon
